Following the successful completion of the 510(k) premarket notification process, the US Food & Drug Administration (FDA) has granted DeltaMed GmbH clearance to market 3Delta Crown in the USA.
The new composite-based resin for permanent crowns, inlays and onlays is the first material for additive manufacturing of definitive restorations in DeltaMed's product portfolio. Many years of experience in the production of classic dental composites have had a significant influence on the development work: thanks to high translucency and natural coloring, highly esthetic results can be achieved.
As early as 2011, DeltaMed GmbH was the first company worldwide to receive a 510(k) clearance for a 3D-printable temporary crown and bridge material. The market launch of the second generation followed in 2020. With 3Delta Crown, the pioneering position in the field of printable composites is now further underlined.
